OUR SERVICES

AURICULAR-ACUPUNCTURE

Auricular acupuncture is the stimulation of points located on the external ear; a stand-alone or adjunct to traditional acupuncture treatment for pain and energetic imbalances. The ear is a micro-system of the body, consistent with the brain map.

ACUPUNCTURE

Insertion of hair-thin sterile acupuncture needles into acu-points located on energy pathways to treat the source of pain and illnesses by helping to correct the body’s’ energy imbalances. These pathways delve deep inside the body and connect with the organs, bones, glands, brain and spinal cord. A trained practitioner knows exactly which points to stimulate for your specific health complaints and imbalances.

Acupuncture strengthens the immune system, improves general health, and benefits circulation.

ELECTRO-ACUPUNCTURE

The acupuncturist attaches electro-stimulation to the acupuncture needles and has control over the waves and frequency of current given to the patient. These micro-currents quickly and effectively relieve inflammation and swelling by increasing circulation. This enhances the effect of the traditional therapy.

CUPPING

Cupping is an ancient Chinese therapy in which a cup is applied to the skin and the pressure in the cup is reduced in order to draw and hold skin and superficial muscles inside the cup. This suction is created by heat or a pumping device. The cups remain stationary or may be glided by the practitioner.

Cupping may be applied to specific acupuncture points or to parts of the body that have been affected by pain. The goal of this therapy is to reach regions of the body with cannot be accessed by acupuncture needles. It is frequently used after acupuncture treatments.

Cupping benefits muscle and joint pain, stiffness, inflammation, supports respiratory function, improves circulation, skin tone and elasticity, stimulates lymphatic drainage(detox). It also helps to rejuvenate energy pathways and organs that are not functioning at their best.

GUA SHA
MOXIBUSTION

Use of Jade or other natural material hand-tools to apply pressure and stroke oiled skin; traditionally recommended for treatment of pain, colds and other upper respiratory imbalances. Gua Sha improve the body’s immune response, decreases inflammation, and promotes healing over a period of days.

A theraputic herb is burned to provide heat on specific acu-points used to disperse stagnation, increase circulation and enhance vital Qi (energy) flow. The heat generated during moxibustion helps increase the flow of vital energy throughout the body via certain pathways (known as “meridians”).
